About Megan

Megan PetersenMy name is Megan and I like to make things. Especially jewelry, and most especially beaded jewelry.

I have always had a knack for art and all things creative. I started beading and jewelry making around the age of 5, and continued expanding from there. I’ve synchronized my artistic talents with my computer skills and found I could use both gracefully in the field of Graphic Design. I went to college for Designing at Whitworth University and received my BA in 2008. Since then, I have been doing design work full-time for my state’s second largest school district and for several real estate companies and businesses on a freelance basis. I never could stop making jewelry, however, and continue to do so with every spare minute I can find.

I am also a huge fan of reading and writing. I have become addicted to blogging, and am able to keep feeding said addiction because of my readers. (I greatly appreciate you!) Feel free to send me any blogging idea that pops into your head that you would love me to write about, or let me know if you are interested in doing a guest post. Inquiries are always welcome!

I appreciated your follow-up article on Handmadeology and left a comment there as well. I’m finding ‘marketing’ is a little like ice cream, it fits in the cracks.

You have some gorgeous stuff at Etsy. Who designed your store banner?

Me. I’m a graphic designer by day, so I designed all of my banners. If you’re interested, I’ve done some custom banners in the past.

Thanks so much, but I make my own. Will remember though if I get in pinch.
