Introducing ScarlettValo – Friday’s Featured Artist

Meet Scarlett from ScarlettValo.

Can you sum yourself up in 3 sentences? Give it a go!
Crazy, music lover astrophysicist who uses her free time to do some handcrafted stuff.
Independent artist, who leaves science graduate studies during weekends to go to artwalks.
My hair has always multiple colors, and I combine my style in between many of the following: gothic Lolita, Victorian, Renaissance Gypsy and others :D

Tell us about what you sell on Etsy:

I sell handmade jewelry and photo prints from my travel photography addiction. For my handmade items I use new, recycled, upcycled, and vintage materials mixed, I just put a new piece together with whatever I found and I can think of it will turn out to be beautiful :D

The Blue Tower – 8 x 10′ Photo Print – $15

What is your favorite thing about creating?

While I’m creating my necklaces I like to see how I can create beautiful stuff that you can wear, an original piece that can express a lot and become yours, I put all of my personality and love in each piece I make and I love every single one of them because they truly show a lot of my likes, style and fashion sense (my very own fashion world)

Eco-Friendly Recycled Paper Necklace – $12

Where do you find your inspiration?
In anything I like, I really love old and antique fashion such as those beautiful big gowns of the Victorian era and their wonderful jewelry pieces, the mystical attires of the Renaissance, the magic and freedom of folk fantasy pieces, the sweet and colorful of the French Versailles style… those and more scenarios inspire each of my items

Do you have any selling tips or tricks for other Etsy sellers?
I would recommend to give fair prizes and try to make beautiful photos of your items

Do you have a coupon code for us?
YES :D … just submit PREFERREDCUSTOMER for a 15% discount in all of my items!

Where else can we find you?
