Creative people are insecure wimps who constantly need to feel validated. Don’t let anyone tell you different. I may be an overly-confident dork from time to time, but it’s mostly because of the feedback I have gotten from others. I think I’m awesome because you’ve told me as much. However, if you were to stop telling me such things, even just for a short time, I would immediately settle into a pit of self-doubt where I would reach a point of questioning my very reasons for existing on this earth.
Not to be overly dramatic or anything.
But you get the idea. Artists need to be told that there ARE people out there who think their handmade crap is like-able (and buy-able!) Similarly, bloggers need to know that the crap they write is read-able. This crap in particular has been validated by your e-mail subscriptions, delightful comments, and shares amongst your social networks. Also, it’s received two beautiful blogging awards from PurpleBooky and A Mom, a Kid, and Art.
So, 200 crappy blog posts later, it looks like you want me to keep providing you with more crap to read. Message received dear readers. Looks like I won’t be going anywhere any time soon.
