It’s officially December. Aka: holiday CRUNCH TIME. I’ve ordered most of my Christmas presents online, so now I’m receiving package after package and crossing my fingers that they will all arrive on time. My hubby is working on setting up our Christmas lights, and we’ll probably be getting our tree this weekend. (Drenching it in ornaments is easily my favorite Christmas decor activity.)
December is also filled with a lot more events than simply decorating and making paper snowflakes. This weekend we’ll be seeing The Nutcracker ballet, and I’ll be attending my Etsy Inland Northwest’s Team Craft fair at the Service Station. I am particularly excited about this show because it’s all local Etsy sellers, coming together to showcase our work and get the word out about Etsy. We’ve received a grant from Etsy to make a video and do some advertising for the event, so who knows, you might be seeing me in a video on Etsy’s blog soon!
It is also the first Friday of the month, and I think we all know what happens on Fridays. I’m excited to introduce and interview Gail from nitebyrd. If you aren’t done with your Christmas shopping yet (and come on, who REALLY EVER IS?) check out her items for lots of awesome gift ideas!
Can you sum yourself up in 3 sentences? Give it a go!
I’m sort of dark in my thoughts and humor. I love zombies! I love to read. I try to create things that are “different”.
Tell us about what you sell on Etsy:
My shop is a mix of handmade jewelry, textile items, vintage and whatever else I feel like making at any given time.
What is your favorite thing about creating?
Finding out that there are other people that like what I do!
Where do you find your inspiration?
Reading, or just seeing an object that I think I can make something out of. My mind is a dark and weird place.
Do you have any selling tips or tricks for other Etsy sellers?
Join teams, use Facebook, Twitter, message boards and blogs to get your name out. Also get into BNR/BNS Treasuries. You may have to spend some money but it’s great exposure and will usually net you sales.
Do you have a coupon code for us?
ZOMBIEZ for 15% off in my shop!
*Thanks for sharing Gail! And Happy December everyone!*
